Each year there are around 40 schools active in the PCP SCITT Partnership in the Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Basingstoke areas. We also work with schools from the Isle of Wight in the south, to Farnborough in the east, to Poole and Salisbury in the west and to Reading in the north. Our strong relationships with schools developed over 20 years of teacher training means that we can find suitable placement schools across Hampshire, Dorset and parts of Wiltshire and Berkshire.
Partnership schools are at the heart of our successful programme and are selected on the basis of excellence in teaching and learning, evidence of quality mentoring and professional development, and the ability to provide rich and diverse learning opportunities for PCP trainees. If you already have the support of a school that is not currently within our partnership, we welcome new partner schools that demonstrate the capacity to support a trainee teacher.
Above is a map of the schools we have partnered with over recent years. Not every school on the map is able to host a trainee every year, but we always do our best to place trainees in a school close to where they live.
